Day 22 : Usseaux to Alpe Toglie

From Useaux, there are two alternative routes to Susa. The guidebook 'Through the Italian Alps' describes the route via Rifugio Arlaud, which was full when we did this part (it was a summer weekend), so we took the alternative via Alpe Toglie; a farm stay, with a very simple meal.

Go back to the center of Usseaux and follow the road up, turning into a gravel road out of town. At first, the path stay relatively level, with views of the Fenestrelle Fort. After a while, the climb starts towards two successive passes; on the other side, down again; it's still a bit of a distance to Alpe Toglie.
